August Market Update - July Statistics 2016

Well, the stats are in and they're looking a little....different than usual.

July sales took a slump and were down by nearly 1,400 sales compared to last year. However, sales are still up for the year - and! We still have 5 more months to go before we end this year. We're still seeing bidding wars, even with the downward slide of sales, which is great for those looking to sell. That being said, keeping your home clean, presented well, marketed properly and priced accordingly will get you into those bidding wars instead of sitting on the marketing for months. 

Ssales of residential detached homes are down, but there are still lots of other properties that saw an increase in the month of July. Vacant land with building is up 155%; townhouses are up 93%; mobile homes are up 25%; commercial is up 24%; vacant land is up 18%; and resort property is up a cool 12%. We can definitely see the reason behind mobile homes and townhouses up this summer as many of our listings consisted of these types of properties!
