March Market Update - February Statistics 2016

The MLS Statistics are in, and there were no surprises here. We're up on the amount of homes sold in Winnipeg: 797 homes sold the previous year, and 816 sold last month, which brings us up by 2%. Not a huge number, but definitely an improvement. We're also not seeing a huge number in price increases, but houses are selling. Not at the highest pricest, and as quickly as they were years prior, but we've stumbled upon some multiple offers this year, some of them reaching up to 45,000 higher than asking price.

 
On our Team, we had the best two months at the start of the year - ever. We doubled what we expected to sell in January and February, defintiely surpassing our goals in the two months that are usually slower and sleepier. 

Although houses are selling, there is still tons of inventory on the market right now, sitting at around 3,700 listings. There's a lot to compete with out there, so if you're looking to list, pricing your home right and using great marketing strategies will be key to stand out.
